Orx flight stabilizer1/7/2024 ![]() Parts availability! I broke the prop setting up the model (bumped the throttle accidentally on the table).I used a R-XSR, pull the ORX wires down through the hole and it fits fine and pull the ORX wires back through the hole. As others suggested the solution is to put a tiny receiver under the wing. I have an old V8FR-II and there was just no nice way to make it fit. With the small access hatch there really isn't room for a regular plastic case receiver.is about 47mm aft of the wrong leading edge, close to the 40-45mm spec. But it is not a deal breaker, with the battery full forward c.g. ![]() The installed velcro is meaningless, the battery is forward of the velcro (and anyway how do you slide velcro on velcro?). The back of the battery is 1.5 inches forward of the access hole, you can barely see it. is just barely OK if you push it all the way forward. I have a Zippy 850mah 3S, just what is recommended. Like the Tempest great detail and paint and a sturdy build. I already have the Tempest from the same series. If you have not already glued the rudder in place then perhaps you can see more from above as far as what is going on. If it is for appearances that you wish to remove the tail wheel then perhaps you could just cut the wire off where it exits the fuselage but I'm not sure if doing so would compromise the rudder connection somehow if the remaining wire was now free to move up? I guess if you cut it off where it first bends down it would still not be able to move. I have not had mine apart but as I recall from assembly the rudder operates by engaging the tail wheel mechanism when you insert it so I'm not sure you want to remove it completely? I fly mine both with main gear and without and the tail wheel causes no issues when landing without the mains. If anyone opened the back of the fuse ( on purpose or not), I would be interested to understand or see how to take off the bottom piece without damaging the rudder control Did anyone figure out how I can remove the back wheel completely? I can unscrew the wheel but it still leaves a piece behind that I am afraid might damage the rudder control. so I assume they finally ran out of their first batch with incorrectly configured stabalisers. It did not come with a separate stabiliser, and the one in the plane seems to be correctly configured/mounted. Got one of these f4u planes while on promo for 84 euro.
